# /linkedin

Helps craft LinkedIn posts using content operating system frameworks. Covers ideation, structure, hooks, and engagement optimization.

## Usage

```
/linkedin
/linkedin [topic or rough idea]
```

## When to Activate

- User says `/linkedin`
- User wants to write a LinkedIn post
- User asks for help with LinkedIn content strategy

## Process

### Step 1: Content Pillars

Pick from proven LinkedIn content types:

- **Actionable** — teach something specific ("Here's how I do X")
- **Motivational** — share a win or lesson ("I failed at X. Then I tried Y.")
- **Analytical** — break down a trend or observation
- **Contrarian** — challenge conventional wisdom
- **Story-driven** — narrative with a professional takeaway

### Step 2: Hook (First 2 Lines)

LinkedIn truncates after ~2 lines. The hook must earn the "see more" click:

- **Pattern interrupt**: "I got fired. Best thing that ever happened."
- **Specific number**: "I went from 0 to 10K followers in 90 days. Here's what worked."
- **Question**: "Why do 90% of product launches fail?"
- **Bold statement**: "Your portfolio doesn't matter. Your proof of work does."

### Step 3: Body Structure

Use one of these proven formats:

**Listicle**: Hook → numbered list → takeaway
**Story arc**: Situation → tension → resolution → lesson
**Framework**: Problem → approach → steps → result
**Before/after**: Old way → what changed → new way → outcome

### Step 4: Formatting

- Short paragraphs (1-2 sentences)
- Line breaks between paragraphs
- Use "↳" or "→" for sub-points
- Bold key phrases sparingly
- End with a question or CTA to drive comments

### Step 5: Polish

- Remove corporate jargon
- Write like you talk
- Check first 2 lines work as a standalone hook
- Add relevant hashtags (3-5 max)

## Output

Formatted LinkedIn post ready to copy-paste.
